VOLUNTEER
DRIVERS
Can
you spare us a little of your time?
The Scheme is always on the look-out for drivers who can help us continue
with our voluntary work.
If you've your own car and able to assist in this work I would appreciate
your telephone call.
A mileage allowance is paid to compensate for the use of your vehicle,
and anyone who would like to put something back into the community, by
transporting the less fortunate inhabitants of Budleigh Salterton and
its environs is always welcome.
Driving for the Scheme helps to benefit and enhance the lives of our older
and less mobile citizens. Most of our journeys are local and involve trips
to the Hospital, Health Centre, dentist, Age Concern as well as some social
journeys. We do travel further afield to destinations such as TESCO, the
Wonford and Exmouth hospitals.
All our drivers do as much or as little as they like. Days and times are
of your choosing and there is no pressure to undertake any particular
type of journey or destination. It is your choice, so why not find out
more by ringing me, John Jarvis, on 01395 445664
Mondays to Fridays between 10 a.m and Noon to find out more.
If driving is not your scene then we also have the opportunity to help
in the office should you feel this would suit you better.
